Marcin leads the management consulting practice at Cognivate, where he drives strategic and operational transformations for financial institutions throughout the CEE region. His 15 years of experience spans strategic planning, market analysis, M&A situations, PMO/PMI, and digital transformation projects on assignments across various geographies.
His professional journey includes heading strategy at the Polish division of Unum (2022-2023), a NYSE-listed life insurance & employee benefits company, where he was responsible for shaping and executing the company’s strategic agenda. His nine-year tenure at Deloitte (2015-2022 and 2010-2012) was marked by over 25 commercial due diligence projects and numerous market entry and post-merger integration assignments for financial institutions, private equity funds, and blue-chip companies across a wide array of industries, from heavy industry to FMCG and e-commerce. Between his Deloitte engagements, he held strategic roles at CEMEX (2012-2015), a global building materials leader, contributing to both local and international initiatives.
Since joining Cognivate in 2023, Marcin helps clients navigate complex market challenges, identify and focus on key strategic priorities while delivering actionable insights that drive tangible results. His strong sense of responsibility and ownership, analytical rigor, combined with a solutions-focused mindset, articulateness and sync with the client’s agenda, have built lasting client relationships. His ability to transform complex data into clear, executable recommendations has consistently earned recognition from clients across industries. As a dependable team leader, Marcin consistently nurtures and develops talent within his teams, while ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work.
Marcin earned his Master’s degree from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Warsaw (2011) and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Warsaw School of Economics. Marcin holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation since 2012, a testament to his expertise in alternative investments (PE & VC, hedge funds, real assets, commodities, structured products) and his project management acumen is certified by a Project Management Professional credential earned in 2017.
